Benni Cinkle wrote Can You See Me Now in the Fall of 2010. She was inspired by the kids posting on After receiving a lot of attention from her appearance in the Friday music video that went viral, she decided to record her song and donate 100% of net profits from the single to charities that help kids in crisis. Some of the organizations that benefit include:

  • Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN)
  • To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA)
  • ChildLine
  • The Trevor Project
  • That Girl in Pink Foundation

Behind the Scenes

Just a little glimpse behind the scenes of the making of the Can You See Me Now music video.

The single was recorded at Serenity West in Hollywood. The music video was directed by Nick Spanos (Jason Derulo, Elliott Yamin) and choreographed by Miguel Zarate (America's Got Talent, Miley Cyrus). All these talented professionals came together to help Benni create a vehicle to deliver her message.
